Greetings from the President

The Ourensán Institute for Economic Development, as an autonomous body dependent on the Provincial Council of Ourense, intends to offer through this web page all the information related to it to facilitate knowledge of the projects that we develop for the municipalities of the province and their productive sectors. .

The Inorde has particularly entrusted to boost the primary and tourism sectors, according to the guidelines that Marca Europa, towards digitization and sustainability, aligned with the comprehensive vision of the smart and green province that promotes the president of the Provincial Council of Ourense, Manuel Baltar.

We are also involved in the management of European cooperation projects that seek to boost competitiveness and support small businesses and producers in the ecological transition, creating tools that allow them to face one of the main challenges that arise in the province: the demographic challenge. .

Within the functional structure of Inorde, the work of the Agricultural Development Center stands out, focused on ensuring agricultural biodiversity, and the Native Breeds Recovery Unit, through which we meet the demands of producers and ranchers.

In the tourism field, the province of Ourense has an "OU" Tourism Brand that protects the four main resources of the territory: wine and gastronomy, heritage, nature and thermal tourism as the main differentiating factor. The work of governance, strategic planning and promotion of the destination is essential to take advantage of the opportunities associated with the High Speed Railway, which since December 2021 connects our province with the Spanish capital in 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Likewise, Inorde is an active part of the multidisciplinary team of the Provincial Council in the European Financing Acquisition Strategy for the new period, prioritizing attention to the aforementioned sectors.

On this page you will find a sample of our commitment, effort and coordinated work with the provincial government.

It is, therefore, an honor to open the doors of Inorde, an entity at the service of an "authentic Ourense" province.

A cordial greeting.
